My wife and I found this sub-tropical paradise in 2002 after a family vacation to Key West. We sent the children home early for Christmas, has extended our vacation and went to Fort Myers / Cape Coral area by us. Over the next few weeks, we discovered a magic chain of barrier islands off the southwest coast of Florida. Like pearls on a chain in a blue sea, all offered surf, sand, sun and fun and good fishing. Running south to north, the first island off the coast of the main Fort Myers Estero is Iceland, home of the small beach town on the Ft. Myers Beach. This is the version southwest Florida in Miami Beach, but on a smaller scale. North of there, he discovers the magical islands of Sanibel, Captiva, North Captiva, Cayo Costa and Gasparilla Boca Grande with the city of Iceland, where billionaires live and play. Interiors of these islands, are two large waterIceland name Pine Sound and Charlotte Harbor. Seventeen miles along Pine Island is the largest of the islands interior.
