With a population of 137,000 from 2006 Tour is the largest city in the Centre region in France. Tours Cher is the lowest of the Loire, where he deals with the flow. The region around Tours, is known for its wines, and the city is actually an important starting point for the Loire Valley, where you jump on a bus or train to one of the great Chateaux.

The city itself has considerable to offer their rights. This is a modern city, but the old neighborhood(Le Vieux Tours) is a perfectly preserved medieval town with beautiful old French court and a fine display of medieval half-timbered houses. The cathedral of Tours is a magnificent Gothic building, the 12th Century started and completed in the 15th century. The immense Beaux-Arts City Hall is also a fascinating building to see.

Tours is known as the "garden of France, the community is a tribute to the great botanistGarden and many beautiful parks of the city, or may have been earned by the fine products grown on site. There are also many major markets throughout the city – at least 30 – specializing in local products, handicrafts, food products, flowers and more.

Even in the old town is Plumereau La Place, a square bustling with cafes, pubs and restaurants, many with outdoor tables and a lively audience. The boulevard Beranger is the site of many of the weekly markets and fairs. InGarden of the Musée des Beaux-Arts is a famous giant cedar planted by Napoleon.

Tours also offers some beautiful and unusual museums, including a wine museum and cellar from 12 established together with local crafts century guesthouse in a 11th century. To see the Loire Valley in all its glory, you may want to visit in summer tours and the region in general.
